JewsonHere at Arco Recruitment, we are always looking to expand our product and industry knowledge. 

Today the team visited Jewson, Hinchley Wood for some staff training and a tour of the yard with the branch manager Kieran.

We would like to thank Kieran and the team for showing us around the branch and giving some insightful information about the branches day to day operations, answering our questions and explaining about all of the products sold at the branch

Arco’s 2016 Nominated Charities

This year Arco has chosen to raise money for ‘Cancer Research UK’ and ‘NSPCC’ as our nominated charities. The Arco team are already making plans as to how we will raise money this year for such worthy charities. Details of this will follow soon.

We are pleased to announce 2 promotions within the Arco family. Steve and Ben have been promoted to Managing Consultant and Senior Recruitment Consultant respectively. This promotion has been duly deserved based on merit and in recognition of their efforts of the recent years they have been employed by Arco – well done to you both.

Arco move to larger office space


Due to the continued expansion and growth of our company, we have outgrown our offices in Leatherhead and have now moved into a larger office in Chessington. This will now give us the infrastructure to allow us to grow as a business and ensure we can facilitate our clients’ needs and expectations.

Arco’s 500th Placement!

As Arco approaches 6 years of age, we were delighted to realise that we have successfully changed the lives of 500 candidates since our birth in April 2009. This is a massive milestone and achievement for the company as we strive to work hard and continue in the god work we do.

Arco Charity Final Amount

After completing bike rides and mud runs, doing collections and selling mulled wine and mince pies! The Arco team managed to raise a total amount of £1,376 for our nominated charities! This has been a great effort from everyone included and a massive thank you goes out to our clients, candidates, friends, family and the general public for helping us raise this amount and making this all possible.

Halloween Collection

As it was Halloween, the Arco team decided to spend a few hours frightening kids and old ladies in order to collect and raise some additional money for our chosen charities. Thank you to Tesco Leatherhead for allowing us to do this at their store. Steve, Ben, George, Sophie and Michael Myers raised, £229.80 which was added to our final end of year amount – well done to you all!

Arco London to Brighton Charity Bike Ride

After 12 weeks of hard training, and a lot of blood, sweat, tears and punctures, the Arco team had managed to complete and finish their London to Brighton Charity Bike Ride! ‘The Peloton’ which included Joe, Steve, Ben, Richard and our client Mr Keith Driscoll from Plumb Center, manage to cross the line in Brighton together and at a great time too! Needless to say, cold beers and an all you could eat Chinese buffet was all we could think of and naturally a well-deserved rest – well done to you all!

Arco saves the day!

Superhero - save the day!

Our client Jewson needed urgent assistance to staff their new store in Purley Way Croydon which was due to open in a matter of days. Fortunately, through hard work and determination, the Arco team managed to fill 9 positions within a matter of days. All the candidates were available to start on the opening day thus ensuring the successful opening of the branch.

Arco training begins for London to Brighton Charity Bike Ride

After discussing and disagreeing (Steve) on many charity activities such as; Sky Diving, Bungie Jumping etc. We have unanimously agreed to embark on a grueling 54 mile bike ride from London to Brighton where our challenge would start off in South London before travelling through Mitcham, Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead, Haywards Heath and then the toughest part of the ride where we will have to climb 813ft (247m) up the Ditchling Beacon just outside Brighton, which takes an average of 30 minutes to scale, before finally finishing at Brighton Pier.
